A News Education

I founded A News Education - a nonprofit media literacy platform - during lockdown, with a mission to help Gen Z navigate misinformation.

What started as a solo project quickly grew into an international volunteer-led organisation, reaching tens of thousands of readers every month.

Building a brand with purpose

I built A News Education from the ground up - defining its identity, voice, and visual style to make complex topics feel clear and accessible.

From naming and tone of voice to design and messaging, every element was crafted to help young people feel empowered, not intimidated, by the media landscape. I created the website, established content pillars, and led a global team of more than 30 volunteer writers, editors, and social media creators who shared that same mission.

Together, we built a cohesive brand that made understanding the news approachable, engaging, and relevant to a generation growing up online.

Growing an engaged digital community

Through SEO-driven articles, bite-sized social content, and a weekly email newsletter, A News Education grew to over 40,000 monthly visitors and an active social following.

Our guides and cheat sheets were shared organically by teachers, students, and youth organisations - sparking conversations about bias, misinformation, and the power of informed media consumption.
